Balveer Kumar lives with his family members in a remote village, where disease is rampant due to poverty and unhygienic conditions. His father is a low paid labourer depending on the wages from daily labour. Being uneducated and unskilled in any trade, he cannot find any steady or better paying jobs. His income is irregular and inadequate to meet the needs of his growing children. So Balveer’s mother also works to supplement their income. Balveer Kumar was admitted into our programme so that he can have a better future.
