What We Do

Help a Child is committed to respond quickly to the needs of affected people in times of disasters.

We provide immediate relief to the victims of a disaster to alleviate their suffering. Normally it includes humanitarian services and transportation; the provision of food, clothing, medicine, beds and temporary shelter.

Any disaster leaves in its wake, damage to life and property on a massive scale. Many may lose their source of livelihood, their loved ones and their property. There is also every chance of people being disabled due to the disaster. In a situation as this, it is important that we help the victims rebuild their lives and livelihood. Besides this we provide care and support to address the psycho social needs of the people affected by the calamity and rehabilitation

Our contribution to the Kashmir earthquake relief and rehabilitation received a special award from the President of India.
